I’ve been binge watching your videos randomly while at work. You guys kept mentioning actresses and can’t name any:

        - Jodie Comer, KILLING EVE
        - Rebecca Furgeson, The WHITE QUEEN and MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: FallOut

        Visenya - Rebecca
        Rhaenys - Jodie

Nope guys.....Tyrion is just really really stupid!
@2:52:14 OMG all that talking about what Dany did to win the Battle of Winterfell just made me hate Sansa even more!!!! Dany actually did crap, and when she was forced to fight with a sword she tried her best! But Sansa, that bitch, disrespects her and gets to be Queen of The North just because her last name is Stark and the writers have a hard on for her!!!!

I don't think it's impossible that we could see book Dany torch the city. I know there isn't a lot of evidence and she hasn't done much crazy, but it seems possible that the final Dany chapter of ADWD is setting up for a descent into madness. Re-reading it after the end of the show there's nothing super obvious but it does seem like she might be starting to lose touch with reality a little. I think that if it happens in the books, her descent into madness will take longer and have a more clear reason, but I don't think it's impossible that something like this could happen in the last book.

She lost 2 of her dragons, Jorah, her bff, and she isn't the true heir who she loves...who no longer wants to get with her. She is a power hungry crazy person and has been since her brother was killed. She loves burning people.

Essay coming up. Absolutely this was too rushed and they didn't earn it, but in the minds of D&D I think they feel they adequately achieved the Targaeryen madness plot...They didn't - but they think they did an adequate job with that 1.5 episode "spiral" into madness with the distrust and paranoia and not eating.

People's underlying personalities effect their type of crazy. If that's the case, her specific kind of madness reflects her other personality traits that we know of, esp. her propensity for ruthless cruelty and violence when SHE feels it's justified. We just always kinda agreed with her up to now, so we didn't really care, but now her madness + her personality is making her believe that killing every soul in the city is actually cleansing and liberating everybody - a bit like Thanos? Some characters don't have it in them to go to that level of genocide, like Davos or Sam but others could. Even Jon, Brienne, Sansa, Arya, The Hound, Tormund have that ability to perpetrate violence, but they don't have the madness to turn that into a self-justified genocide. Dany was a tinderbox unfortunately IF the madness ever came. I just wish they spent the time to do it properly.

Dumb and Dumber probably have been skimping 60% off of every episode's budget since episode 1 just so they can spend 300 million on their directed, written, scripted, acted in, sound quality checked, etc the last episode and win all kinds of awards.

That's probably it. All the other episodes were so crap just so they can contrast it against the one episode where they do -everything- so they can literally take AAALLL the glory.

Tyrion know about Jon’s honesty. He knew that Jon would tell her that Varys came to him and what was said to him. With that, she would know Tyrion and Varys both know of his heritage. So he has to beat Jon to the punch. He knew Daenarys would kill him for not telling. I thought Varys would leave to spread the work, via whisper-net, after episode 4 following telling Tyrion his stance on Daenarys perceived plan, and mental state.

I've been trying for a week to make sense of GoT. It's totally a ridiculous nerd issue I'm having, but i can live with that. Follow me for a minute. It might not be as horrible as we think. It's still subversion of expectations, but what else is new? This in no way condones the absolute shit writing used to accomplish this.

So every character arc has been subverted. They are all doing the opposite of what they said.

                                  1) Danny wasn't going to be queen of the ashes. Despite protestations, she is.
                                  2) Arya was always gonna kill Cersei. She ran away.
                                  3) Jamie needed redemption. He found it only to fall from our grace again.
                                  4) The Hound was gonna kill the Mountain. He died too.
                                  5) Jon was going to be loyal to his queen. Now he has to kill her.
                                  6) Tyrion was the most useful man in the seven kingdoms. Season 8, useless.
                                  7) Sansa was going to let Jon rule Winterfell. Now she will.
                                  8) Cersei was going to receive a savage, vicious death. She died in Jamie's arms.
                                  9) Bran said he'd never be Lord of Winterfell, and he won't. He'll be king.

Why didn't Bran warn anyone about what Dany would do? What good is being the 3 eyed raven?

Did you notice during the burning of KL, you never saw Dany's face. We saw it right before, but not during, or after. Did you notice that we didn't see Bran at all, but we saw his vision of Drogon flying over the city?

What if Bran did warg the Dragon in the past, similar to what he did with Hodor? What if he did fly, like we thought he would? What if he burned down KL by taking over Dany and Drogon? What if Bran stayed too long inside the Dragon? He's Ice. Dragons are Fire. Fire Melts Ice.

Am I grasping at straws, trying to save a show i loved from utter disaster due to my extreme disappointment? Or is this possible?

I think John will kill Dany and than die himself, because remember he was resurrected by the Lord of Light and killing Dany is his fate. Similar how Mel died after doing her duty.

However Phil The Issue Guy had a live stream with Preston and RedTeam before the season 8 finale and at the 1:00:45 mark I left a super chat asking “Another collab w/ OrderoftheGreenHand soon?” And Him and Carmine intently overlooked my superchat. And I know they did because the stream wasn’t busy and they were answering other super chats before and after mine (regardless the dollar amount). It wasn’t until I tagged Redteamreview in the chat that he brought it up on the stream at the @1:12:57
Listen to what he said and come to your own conclusion. But to me he contradicted himself and sounded very suspect.

GAME OF THRONES SEASON 8 EPISODE 6 PREDICTIONS: Dany lands in a field of burned dead men and her unsullied walk towards her and Grey Worm is holding a captured Torion. He asks Dany why she chose to burn thousands of innocent people for no reason and she replies: “Dracarys”. After which Drogon proceeds to spit flames at Tirion and Grey Worm. Turns out Grey Worm knew secrets about Dany no one else could ever know and he had accomplished his final mission towards Dany by raiding Kings Landing rendering him to a liability. Grey Worm dies but Tirion he doesn’t burn. He stands there naked after the flames subside. Turns out Tirion was Azor Ahai the whole time. Bran proceeds to roll up and says he saw Tirion’s birth and says Tirion has Targaryan blood and is Dany’s bastard cousin. Turns out the Lanister mom banged the mad king and Tirion is the child which makes him immune to fire like Dany. As he stands there with a huge 18 inch hard on he asks “How Azor a-high up your ass can this Grey Worm liberate itself?” To which Dany replies “my name jeff”. As she says this, Jon overhears it. He now feels betrayed and lied to. He didn’t know Dany’s real name was jeff. Infuriated, he grabs a spear out of a guards hand and throws it at Dany killing her. Drogon proceeds to bow down to Torion and his massive cock and he and Jon go on a dragon ride together into the sunset. *Credits roll*

Just what kind of person did you guys think Dany was? Honestly, having read the books including the histories, fire and blood etc. This doesn't seem like it's out of character at all. It's always been all about Dany. All the things she's done are to further her goals of invading Westeros.

Is it because she gave herself nice epitaphs like 'breaker of chains'?

The NK was evil that is easy to spot. Fire is far more difficult as fire also includes things we all feel, well those of us who are alive. We engage in apologia for Dany because we have an emotional connection and that's the whole point. That's how monsters gain power.

GRRM is a pacifist ffs. Flaming kings landing could almost be analogous to the nukes on Japan yet there are tons of people who will engage in apologia claiming that it was somehow necessary to incinerate tens of thousands of people.

Dany was ALWAYS 'the ends justify the means' but because we felt for her we waved it away. Everytime she doesn't get her own exclusive way, out comes the fire and blood.

You SHOULD feel betrayed and guilty about supporting her. That's the point.

So many of these philosophies have been explored in the show and books.

P.s. What sane person refers to themselves in the 3rd person lol

Exactly! The writers had to conveniently had to dumb down Varys and Tyrion to ensure that Daenerys failed so that they could get this ending it would've been best to just give her "dumb advisers" instead of giving her smart advisers and making them dumb.

Hey guys, love your channel! The scenes before Varys' execution got me thinking about Sansa's jeweled hairnet, which the Queen of Thorns used to poison Joffrey. Varys seemed to purposefully turn one of his rings and look at the jewels before taking it off and hiding it. The thought that Varys was trying to poison Daenerys led me to a random book question: Are Targaryens susceptible to poison? In ACOK, Rhaegal sniffs the wine Xaro hands Daenerys, hisses at it, and digs his claws into her shoulder while George casually includes a detail about the choker she had just tossed aside supposedly guarding the wearer from poison. Also, in ADWD when Dany visits the plague victims outside the walls of Meereen, George writes how she isn't afraid to touch them because she's never caught an illness from someone else. I really hope George gives us a deeper look into the dragon-bonding process and how it affects the rider, kind of like what Varamyr Sixskins' chapter did with skinchanging.

real Valyrian dragonlords don't seem to catch diseases from other people once they're bonded to their dragon...I can't think of a time where it ever happens...there are some instances of Targaryens getting sick who don't have a dragon...I don't see any reason why Targaryens couldn't be poisoned...we happen to think quite a few of them were...Aenys I was almost certainly poisoned...Jaehaerys I's second son, and eldest daughter (his wife) were almost certainly poisoned...I can't think of any more off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure that there are a few more...we've considered the idea that Varys gave Dany basilisk venom, but that wouldn't be something that could be concealed in jewelry like the strangler used to kill Joffrey, because the strangler looks like a stone, whereas basilisk venom is liquid...it certainly seems possible that Varys started a relationship with Martha (the kitchen girl) so he could have her slip basilisk venom into her food...it causes violent madness

The only way that what Dany did makes sense is, if she had been going through the motions of being a "queen of the people" all along to gain support, but had planned all along to follow through with Viserys' plan to sack the city. BUT, there were no indications or foreshadowing that she was doing that. We would have expected that from Viserys. There's no way anyone should expect that from Dany.

About people pouring into the city: Book lore tells us that, how Dorne prevented being conquered was not only with similar type scorpions that were used here; but each time the Targaryens showed up, the city or town that was a target was totally vacated - no one to conquer. Even the leaders of the city or town were gone. This was known, because Tywin mentioned Dorne's lack of conquest by the Targaryens when he was having a conversation with Oberyn Martell. The tactics were known, but no one remembers this time? Qyburn knew this, which is WHY he built the scorpions to combat the dragons. But, he didn't advise to vacate the city? WTF? Using that tactic kept Dorne from being conquered until they were able to establish diplomatic relations with the Targaryens, and join the rest of Westeros as the seventh kingdom on their own terms. Knowing this makes all these "tactics" look even more stupid. If D&D read the books, they should have known this, too. Which in my mind, makes them complete morons for writing it another way.

About Drogon issue: Since you've read the books, you should know that Balerion the Black Dread had several riders before he died around the age of 200. A dragon will take on a new rider once it's current rider has died. Jon has already passed the "sniff test" with Drogon (season 7) so, there's no reason that Jon can't bond with Drogon and use him to keep the peace after Dany has died. What I don't know is ... would Jon be able to bond with Drogon if he is the one that killed Dany? Personally, I would think not, because we have already been told that dragons are not stupid. And, after that look that Drogon gave Jon in episode 1 of this season (it was like, "I'm keeping my eye on you"), I would think that if Jon is the one to kill Dany, that Drogon might go ape-shit and start burning more people, especially Jon. So, having someone else kill Dany might be the best choice, then they can deal with the dragon later, if Jon doesn't want to keep him around. But that would make too much sense so, I don't expect it will even be a consideration by D&D. They seem to be totally ignoring any book lore so, why would they observe it now?

She gives a speech about this very thing, when she meets Jon for the first time. Jon, however, was raised by Ned Stark, but not just that every time he's had a crisis moment, he's had wiser people than him. For example when Jon left the Nights Watch to go join Robb:

Jeor Mormont Honor made you leave and honor make you return...
                                                                                      Jon: No, my brothers did.
Jeor Mormont: I don't say it was your Honor.

Honor and Duty are key to Jon's identity, and they always pull him back.
Dany's right to rule and her belief in that right is key to her identity, I mean think about it. Dany, didn't offer to step aside for Jon, because he was the rightful heir, even though her entire invasion hinges on her being the rightful heir. It's not in Dany to do whats ultimately right if that means sacrificing such a large part of her identity.

                                                                                      Jon would and did.

Dany frees the slaves but does so rather brutally “Unsullied!” Dany galloped before them, her silver-gold braid flying behind her, her bell chiming with every stride. “Slay the Good Masters, slay the soldiers, slay every man who wears a tokar or holds a whip, but harm no child under twelve,” A Storm of Swords, Daenerys III.

Here she orders the death of children.

That in Astapor, and what happened to Astapor after she left? because she left what she thought would be good rulers but also killed all the soldiers and took all the unsullied... Astapor collapsed and thousands paid the price.

Yet she was exalted as a savor, worshiped like a goddess.

Jon, helps the Wildlings not become part of the army of the undead, and gets stabbed to death for his troubles.

Dany's decent into madness has nothing to do with any individual action, but who Dany is as a person, her identity, she believes fundamentally that it is her destiny to rule the Seven Kingdoms, that is the thing that's kept her going through every horrible thing she's gone through. Then she turns up in Westeros this savior figure in her mind, after all she's hatched dragons from stone, brought the Dothraki across the sea, she's going to break the wheel, by placing a Targaryan at the top of it again, but details, and then she just so happens to show up with the worlds largest army as the Others have returned, and her ancestral seat JUST so happens to be setting on a huge deposit of the very thing we need to kill the undead, dragon glass, if that's not fate what is?

                                                                                      Then she loses a dragon.
She fights the Ling Night, she loses a huge portion of her army, made up of people that worship her like a Goddess,
Then she's told a fundamental keystone to her identity is a lie, and that she's not the rightful heir to the Iron Throne, that Jon her lover is.
Because of this, her lover rejects her, as a lover. She then loses another one of her children and her best friend in the course of a few days.
She finds out Jon told Sansa, and Sana told Tyran who told Varys, who, not only was telling EVERYONE he could but plotting to kill her.

And then when Dany is reaching out suffering, wanting some kind of real, meaningful human connection, form the man that says he loves her, but also serves as an existential threat to her entire identity and sense of self. And he rejects her again... Well, to abuse a quote: "Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity, sometimes all it takes is a little push."

Dany has always had a messiah complex. Dany preoccupation with herself as the rightful Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, and her belief that she is the savior of the people, the one who’s going to break the wheel, Dany believes that it is her destiny to create a better world for future generations. She's also a narcissistic hero a type of narcissist who is invested in being the hero. The savior, the good guy, the fixer, the problem solver. These things are so ingrained in her identity that when that identity finally shatters, with no one there to help her pick up the pieces, all she has left is the rage, the hate, the anger, the loss, the betrayal, the abuse, everything she's never properly dealt with because she had built up the scaffolding of lies and delusions of grandeur, to hide from it.

So if Dany is not destined to rule then who is she? What is she? She's the little girl who has been used and abused and never wanted to leave the house with the red door, and that breaks her, THAT is a tragedy.
