it does come out of the blue. Just admit it! Maybe Bran warg into her dragon at least for a long enough to frame her, but otherwise, it is not explainable. Except for a few words that could be said by literally anyone it had no explanation! BTW with Cersei when she chooses violence it was absolutely understandable and moreover, any normal person would do the same. Fuck yeah! those religious freaks they fucking deserved it. Destroying the temple was a little more controversial but still very understandable and smart. I was actually cheering for her at that moment, although I felt sorry for Margery and others. Except for the whole deal was initially Cersei's fault. If she didn't play with fanatics she wouldn't get all the problems in the first place. Although... Margery was not so innocent as well, she was playing games against Cersei and it was like a domino effect - one piece falls creating destruction that causes bigger destruction and so on...
Also, they overplayed the dragon's vulnerability before the Bells so any Dany's tactics in the Belles looked too good to be true.

Also, you can't just have an excuse that "well they pushed back ice now they have to push back the fire". All reasons should be rooted deep in the previous events and previous decisions. Previously she chose to help people that she didn't even know much. If we are talking about the potential negative consequence it could be that they happened to be ungrateful pigs and she lost most of her forces and died, was defeated, was stabbed in the back. It can't result in she went on all full flying Hitler on everyone.

The whole deal with the madness coin I see that a gifted person can be useful for society and that means the coin falls on its good side or he could be a visionary that comes when the society is not ready for his ideas and called mad by everyone. Obviously, Deanariys was not a psychopath, it was well established by all the previous show. So she could propose the solution that the society is not ready for and failed because of lack of support. It would be much more interesting and realistic than the crap we had to watch!

Yo I’m sorry but I found this episode brilliant. Major problems in the season as a whole but my gos, such an incredible statement on the perils of power, war, and the quest for vengeance. This is absolutely in line with George’s books, it’s the fuckin point of the whole thing my dudes

It seems like you( and D&D) simply cherrypicked moments to paint Dany's actions as in character and inevitable, instead out of character and forced. You mentions moments of foreshadowing, but don't talk about seasons of character development. Why did Dany choose wise and kind advisers? Why was she angry at the slavers? Why did she command her armies not to rape? Why did she go north and fight the undead? To take multidimensional character and flip a switch to paint her as one dimensional villain in the last two episodes is just so lazy, such a betrayal of the audience investment in the series.

16:10 not necessarily. Jamie kind of did choke the life out of her. He stopped her from leaving. From going on and living her life. Jamie made her accept death

Robert, honestly, there's no need for you to try and "explain" the episodes anymore. The episodes this season and last season have been so stupid it's amazing that you and other channels are still trying to make it seem as if D&D actually had a plan here. They didn't and it shows. There so much going on that is simply unforgivable. I just wish that you would give them the critique they deserve. The cast and crew have worked so hard for the show to look good and make it work but with writing this bad... It simply doesn't work. I love you and your channel, you are always amazing but I need you to not be so apologetic of this horrible writing. D&D has destroyed George's legacy with this mess.

Using dragonfire during an attack is NOT REMOTELY THE SAME AS DESTROYING THE WHOLE CITY AFTER A SURRENDER. You'd think this was patently obvious, but apparently not.

It'd be one thing if the bells weren't rung, or it'd be one thing if, after they WERE rung, she destroyed the red keep/burnt the lannister soldiers, but this was stupid.

This episode has left a lingering queasiness in my gut. I can't believe the way they trashed 7.5 years of character development and emotional beats in their stampede for the finish line. Absolutely incomprehensible. (I'm looking at you, Jimmy Lannister. Wtf did you did with Jaime "burn then all/Kingslayer" Lannister.)

Varys had king's blood... he's the bastard child of a king... which I couldn't tell you, but that's why they took his "man bits" and put them in the fire, to do stronger fire magic like they did with Gendry. Varys had his head shaved at all times... think about why? Because he was a Targaryen and needed to conceal his white/blond hair lest King Robert kill him.

I distrust the assumption of J/C death because of previous twists. Be satisfied by it because it would make Jamie the Valonqar who has his hands on his sister’s throat as she “died”.

At 10:55 in your video you notice what I did, that we never see Dany in control of Drogon as he burns. Consistently in this series assumed facts are often mistaken.

It’s intended to be horrific as a nuclear weapon unleashed on a city would be. I don’t think it’s an accident that the ash covering the city looks more like the destruction of Hiroshima/Nagasaki rather than Pompeii.

I think that Dany May try to kill Tyrian but will she succeed. He at root is a survivor and has many allies.

The reason the bells ringing doesn’t work is because of Bran warging Drogon perhaps for reasons we can’t see. Though he does have motives, means and opportunity to ruin Dany’s hopes or destroy hidden resistance,

Most of the awards that this show has received need to go directly to Martin. As far as this video goes I would have to say you did a great job and I almost totally agree with everything you said.

                                                                  • Ekaterina Ponizovskaya Devine

This is a good points but still the plot is too rushed and the turns are not logical. Yes, Dany had that evil side in her but still it is not believable that she had burned the whole city. Moreover, the show maked her turn into villain just overnight. Yes she had reasons to burn something especially after Misandei screamed "Dracaris". But it would be more consistent with the character that she will fly to Red Keep and destroy it. It could cause some battle on the ground and the burning that had been done already to the wall and Red Keep could cause wildfire explosions and that could make her look  not so much heroic as she was before. Definitely Tyrion and Varis should be shown as villains as well. They did betray Dany. If Varis killed Dany as he wanted the war would lasted many years and would kill even more people on both sides. And really is burning Varis worse than beheading him? Both are barbaric punishment that westerosi are comfortable with.  Arya also shown a little bit bipolar. One moment she is still determined to kill Cerci another she is not. It should not be rushed. Battle with Night king showed multiple problems from the strategy to why he wanted to kill 3eyed raven himself. Second dragon was killed so easy and after that Dany destroyed all the scorpions as if they were nothing. Again it simply was not well thought. So basically the plot is very unconvincing and poor written. Yes, I agree she could make mistakes that could make her look now as a bad person or mad queen but if the show would follow the way it was before that everyone is not particular evil or good then they should make it not so determined and not so cheesy.

                                                                    • uncle gargameld gargameld

I think Arya will take Grey Worms face. I think Jon will see "him" with Needle and think he has killed her. Arya will have to take it off. Jon will have to be the one to kill Dany. I wonder if she will tell Drogon not to kill him as he is the last male heir. His first reaction would be to burn him. I hope Drogon goes back to Valeria and is not killed. I do think Jon will go north to reunite with Ghost. This isn't a romantic show but I wish the Direwolves had been used. They are the sigel of the Starks and I wanted to see Nimeria and her pack again.

The angels of the Lord of Light took care in the last seasons. So I do think that Arya will confront Daenerys, and if Daenerys will return to the angel she was, then a new friendship may begin between Daenerys and Arya.Otherwise Arya will propably kill Danerys. And the angels of the Lord of Light can support Daenerys from now on ... so Daenerys still may be the best queen for the next decades of peace for westeros.

Also, it would have made more sense if she had started with destroying the Red Keep and therefore Cersei, and afterward kind of losing control and taking out the whole city. In my opinion at least
