They did this in part for Diablo Immortal, the China market is where that game is going to make all its money. No one in the west wants diablo on cell phones but the China market does and they can get 200 mill players easy there. $$$$$$ over freedom. Blizzard and other companies are disgusting.

Tencent owns League of Legends maker Riot Games, majority stakes in Clash of Clans maker Supercell and Path of Exile maker Grinding Gear Games, 40% of Fortnite maker Epic Games, 36% of Warhammer maker Fatshark, a 29% stake in Conan Exiles developer Funcom, an 11.5% of PUBG maker Bluehole, a 9% stake in Elite Dangerous maker Frontier Developments, and 5% stakes in Activision and Ubisoft.

This does not take into account the parent companies that China owns controlling or major shares in.

Blizzard seems to be acting like some kinda 'cleaner' association.
        Ban the player-okay
Take away his prize money-uh, why?
Now fire all the newscasters who even glanced at Blitzchung-okay now you're acting like you're silencing witnesses and cleaning blood off the floor

No company would ever sink that far and do all that and then invest money into the government to rig lawmaking to be able to keep doing this. No way, that's crazy.
