Good video. I don't like the reality of it. I subscribed to Vox today ~ it's a welcome oasis in a sea of partisan opinion. I know they may seem like they lean left, but I'm not actually sure that's the case.

LOLOLOLOL. court packing started by the dems and hate when it blows it in their face. also, judges are separated into two camps, those that follow the constitution and democrats. it's not a left and right issue, it's traditionalist (constitution) and dems. sorry vox, the dems have corrupted the court system in the past to pass unconstitutional laws, now that their own tactics are used against them they are mad. cry me a river, nobody cares. maybe you shouldn't have changed the rules and you wouldn't be in this situation.

I’m sick of the courts being used for political purposes. Republican or Democrat it doesn’t matter. The courts were meant to be independent of politics, interpreting the law strictly on constitutional grounds.

Now it’s used to steamroll the other side.

Well, I dont understand why you anyone would blame trump, is he has the power to appoint then obviously hes not goimg to pick a democrat, everyone is trying to gain leverage for their own side, the system in place seems shady, if you give just a slight chance to a man like trump he will literally take over control, nothing new here.

Trump's distain is not of "Libreral " thought , actions and decisions from / of the court, but from the deference, refusal & conscious decisions that do no honor their pledge and responsibility to hold the "Constitution " as supreme law of the land. The refusal to nullify unconstitutional legislation and preference to honor ""Non / un constitutional opinion .. even as far as quoting international law and U.N. policies to support decisions and preferences. There is a serious lack in our education system along with a purposeful effort to misinform students and general populace of how the US system is designed and our responsibilities as citizens , politicians and Judges. We are a Republic, Union of States, not a "Democratic Mob " .. or so it should be. I suspect most of "VOX" disagrees.

it kind of funny, nobody mentions that FDR (a democrat) hyperaggressively changed the court system in the 30's and 40's to pass whatever he wanted. this lasted into the 60's (read about warren court) which ended up vastly changing US policy in a myriad of directions that directly harmed the goal of a constitution based republican party. then in 2013 Harry Reid and the dems changed the confirmation rules to allow a simple majority to push through judges in the senate, so now you don't have to compromise. to be fair Mitch told them this was a mistake and he'd use these rules against them. really Obama and the democratic party were so incompetent they set this up nicely for cocaine mitch and trump. Mitch even told them what would happen if they changed the majority rules.

Neither party will completely destroy the foundations of America, but a party that we haven't conceived of yet 'Could'. We need to "Weed Out" these glaring problems with our government, hopefully before malicious and opportunistic people rise to power.
