The fact that the song includes Florence Pugh crying is just a crime against my feelings. I'm feeling terrified again, holy shit

The last part sounds like The Dance of Death, and it's so fitting

At first I thought it was the sound of horn from the cars. And it get creepier when the firemen walk upstairs in the dark

Holy shit you can actually hear her crying throughout the entire song. It’s very subtle, but you can definitely hear it if you’re wearing headphones

She killed them with carbon monoxide poisoning. She took hoses and put them in the ends of two cars and put one hose in her parents room and the other one in her mouth and duct taped them there. There’s a low quality video of it. https://youtu.be/SRsteD-yUiQ

This intro scene has left a mark on me. Its perhaps the scariest introduction to any horror movie I have seen. The zoom in on Dani's sister is terrifying...aswell as Dani crying.

Danis sister is the true villain of the movie, and that is truly terrifying. Not the supernatural being, not the cultists (except for the guy who wore Josh's face, that guy was pretty damn evil). The cult believed they were doing the right thing within the context of their culture. Danis sister just fucking decided to do it because of her mental illness. She's the fucking villain.

Wesley Houghton This is why Midsommar is such a great film. Everyone sees, feels and hears things differently. Aster is seriously trying to mess with our heads, but I definitely heard an man's deep evil laugh. It's like those pictures where some people see a beautiful woman whilst others only see an old hag. A multi sensory illusion. Maybe the film says more about the viewer than it does about anything else. I Love it that there is so much discussion about this movie.

Watch Hereditary, you won't regret it. I really liked Midsommar, but Hereditary is one of my top 10 movies of the decade so far.

Yes, it isn't as big as the surprise in "Hereditary" and it DOES take place before the opening credits, but it's better if the viewer finds out what exactly happens when they see the movie.
